Rapid Prototyping: 3D Printing, Laser Sintering/Scanning and CAD
The Mississippi Polymer Institute provides customers accessibility to the world’s most advanced rapid prototyping technologies at an unbelievable price.
Typical 3D printing projects run between $200 and $2,000. Price depends on part size and volume.
Technology:
3D Printing - Objet Connex 350 Technology
This is one of the most advanced 3D printers on the market. It is capable of printing parts with a wide range of properties, such as rigid and flexible regions in the same part.
Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
This system is capable of producing a white nylon part. Its build area is 11 x 12 x 17 inches. The process is very cost-competitive when printing multiple parts in the same build.
Laser Scanning Service
This system can create a 3D file from a physical part. The scanned 3D file can then be used for inspection against a design CAD file, for
re-engineering, or go straight to prototyping.
Industrial Design - Computer Aided Design (CAD)
MPI can create custom 3D part files for your prototype or use in prints.
Tailored, scalable processes satisfy the needs of inventors and designers, as well as Fortune 100 companies.
